CTA member Rendezvous hotel has been actively communicating with customers throughout the lockdown by continuing to market the hotel and its new electric dining boat, Graceful Swan. The hotel team have been sharing its positive motto and true Yorkshire spirit to lift the mood and capture people’s attention.

Unfortunately before lockdown it was only possible to take ‘Gracie’ out once on a group dinner cruise, but this trip received some excellent feedback from the group involved who said: “Wow, what a fabulous trip and the icing on the cake was to be the first official diners on the Graceful Swan. The coach was buzzing on our way back with everyone asking when we can do it all again.”

Graceful Swan seats up to 54 guests, making it a great venue for a number of occasions, from VIP dining up to 36, to exclusive private hire for special celebrations. A lot of thought has gone in to making it possible for the Graceful Swan and the Rendezvous Hotel to offer similar dining choices in both restaurants. The boat is specifically designed so that food can be prepared in the hotel’s kitchen and finished onboard in the purpose-built galley, so no compromises are made on the quality of food they can offer. Graceful Swan also has a fully licensed bar onboard, replicating the sommelier’s choice in wine that the hotel offers.

The Rendezvous is developing an ‘anti-Covid Charter’ to give customers reassurance in the light of the latest guidelines.

The team has spent most of lockdown developing ways of keeping guests safe and making them feel confident and safe enough to return. It has changed the front door to automatic opening and spaced out the dining arrangements in the restaurant. There is also a new professional steam cleaner and fogger for rooms and public areas which can be used on any surface which kills 99 per cent of bacteria and viruses.
